I spent the last 6 months going through my own personal hell trying to find somebody I can trust to care for my 1985 BMW 635CSi. This page describes much of what I've been through.

In almost twenty years of driving everything from GMC suburbans to little Fiat convertables, I have never had this level of difficulty with mechanics. Is this a BMW thing that all BMW must owners contend with? or have I just had a run of bad luck with people who actually know their stuff but just coinsidentally are having a bad day when my car comes around?
Or perhaps I need to have an excorcism performed to rid the vehicle of some malevolent spiritual habitation or posession.
