I asked if they should not have checked their work by re-verifying the numbers upon re-assembly, but they assured me this was not needed.

I also inquired about the benefits of synthetic lubricants which they seemed to endorse, but was told that I should monitor my oil consumption rate for a few thousand miles before changing to synthetics.

I thought this rather odd considering I had not experienced any oil consumption in almost 7000 miles, but at the time I did not consider the implications of that statement.
